अर्थयुकत्या हि जायन्ते पिता माता सुतस्तथा
arthayuktyā hi jāyante pitā mātā sutastathā
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—നിശ്ചയമായും, അർത്ഥവും പ്രയോജനവും എന്ന യുക്തിയാൽ തന്നെയാണ് പിതാവ്, മാതാവ്, അതുപോലെ പുത്രൻ എന്ന ബന്ധങ്ങൾ രൂപപ്പെടുന്നത്.
