बभूवामर्षितो राजा वध॑ चास्य व्यरोचयत्‌ । सियारकी यह चपलता सुनकर शेर गुस्सेसे भर गया। उससे यह बात सही नहीं गयी; अतः मृगराजने उसका वध करनेका ही विचार कर लिया

Transliteration

babhūvāmṛṣito rājā vadhaṃ cāsya vyarocayat |

Translation

നരിയുടെ ഈ ചപലത കേട്ട രാജാവ് (മൃഗരാജൻ) ക്രോധത്തിൽ ജ്വലിച്ചു; ആ കാര്യം അവന് സഹിക്കാനായില്ല; അതിനാൽ അവനെ വധിക്കണമെന്നു തന്നെ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.
