Gaṇānāṃ Vṛttiḥ — On the Sustenance and Cohesion of Assemblies
Gaṇa-nīti
अर्था: प्रत्यवसीदन्ति तथानर्था भवन्ति च । गणके मुख्य-मुख्य व्यक्तियोंको परस्पर मिलकर समस्त गणराज्यके हितका साधन करना चाहिये; अन्यथा यदि संघमें फूट होकर पृथक्-पृथक् कई दलोंका विस्तार हो जाय तो उसके सभी कार्य बिगड़ जाते और बहुत-से अनर्थ पैदा हो जाते हैं
arthāḥ pratyavasīdanti tathānarthā bhavanti ca |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറയുന്നു—സമൂഹം ഐക്യം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ യഥാർത്ഥ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും വിഭവങ്ങളും തകർന്നു വീഴും; അവയുടെ സ്ഥാനത്ത് അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ ഉദിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ ഗണത്തിലെ പ്രധാനികൾ പരസ്പരം ചേർന്ന് സമസ്ത ഗണരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഹിതം സാധിക്കണം; എന്നാൽ സംഘം പിളർന്ന് വേറേവേറെ കക്ഷികൾ വ്യാപിച്ചാൽ, എല്ലാ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും തകരുകയും അനവധി അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ ജനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും।
