मन्यमान: प्रभावं च कृष्णस्यामिततेजस: । तेन न च्यावितश्नाहं क्षत्रधर्मात् स्वनुछितात्
manyamānaḥ prabhāvaṃ ca kṛṣṇasyāmitatejasaḥ | tena na cyāvitaś cāhaṃ kṣatradharmāt svanuṣṭhitāt ||
അമിതതേജസ്സുള്ള കൃഷ്ണന്റെ അസാധാരണ പ്രഭാവം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും, ഞാൻ സ്വയം ഏറ്റെടുത്ത ക്ഷാത്രധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കുലുങ്ങിയില്ല.
