Shloka 253

निधन तन्मया प्राप्तं को नु स्वन्ततरो मया । “अपने धर्मका पालन करनेवाले क्षत्रिय-बन्धुओंको जो अभीष्ट है, वैसी ही मृत्यु मुझे प्राप्त हुई है; अतः मुझसे अच्छा अन्त और किसका हुआ होगा?

nidhanaṁ tanmayā prāptaṁ ko nu svantataro mayā |

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ക്ഷത്രിയധർമ്മം പാലിക്കുന്ന ബന്ധുക്കൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയുള്ള മരണമാണ് എനിക്ക് ലഭിച്ചത്; അതിനാൽ എന്നേക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ അന്ത്യം മറ്റാർക്കുണ്ടാകും?”
