अत्-#-#क+ चतु:षष्टितमो<5 ध्याय: दुर्योधनका संजयके सम्मुख विलाप और वाहकोंद्वारा अपने साथियोको संदेश भेजना धृतराष्ट्र रवाच अधिष्ित: पदा मूर्थ्नि भग्नसक्थो महीं गत: । शौटीर्यमानी पुत्रो मे किमभाषत संजय,धृतराष्ट्रने पूछा--संजय! जब जाँघें टूट जानेके कारण मेरा पुत्र पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़ा और भीमसेनने उसके मस्तकपर पैर रख दिया, तब उसने क्या कहा? उसे अपने बलपर बड़ा अभिमान था। राजा दुर्योधन अत्यन्त क्रोधी तथा पाण्डवोंसे वैर रखनेवाला था। उस युद्धभूमिमें जब वह बड़ी भारी विपत्तिमें फँस गया, तब क्या बोला?

adhiṣṭhitaḥ padā mūrdhni bhagnasaktho mahīṃ gataḥ |
śauṭīryamānī putro me kim abhāṣata sañjaya ||
ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സഞ്ജയാ! എന്റെ പുത്രന്റെ തുടകൾ തകർന്നു അവൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണപ്പോൾ, ഭീമസേനൻ അവന്റെ തലയിൽ കാൽ വെച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവൻ എന്ത് പറഞ്ഞു? അവൻ തന്റെ ശൗര്യത്തിൽ അത്യന്തം അഭിമാനിയായിരുന്നു. ആ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ഭീകരമായ ദുരന്തത്തിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ദുര്യോധനൻ ഏതു വാക്കുകൾ ഉച്ചരിച്ചു?
