सप्तर्षिभि: स्तुतो देवस्ततो लोक॑ ययौ तदा । “तब महादेवजीने उस तपस्विनीसे कहा--'एवमस्तु” (ऐसा ही हो)। फिर सप्तर्षियोंने उनकी स्तुति की। तत्पश्चात् महादेवजी अपने लोकमें चले गये
saptarṣibhiḥ stuto devas tato lokaṃ yayau tadā |
അപ്പോൾ മഹാദേവൻ ആ തപസ്വിനിയോട്— “ഏവമസ്തു” (തഥാസ്തു) എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ സപ്തർഷിമാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചു; അതിനുശേഷം മഹാദേവൻ തന്റെ ലോകത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A righteous request, once granted by divine assent (“evam astu”), is sealed by gratitude and reverent praise; devotion and humility properly follow the reception of grace.
After granting the ascetic woman’s petition, Mahādeva is praised by the Seven Sages, and then he departs to his own divine realm.
