Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes cosmic hierarchy and dharmic order: even the greatest gods assemble in disciplined attendance around a divinely appointed leader (Kārtikeya), suggesting that power is most righteous when aligned with order, duty, and collective purpose rather than individual dominance.

Vaiśampāyana describes a grand divine gathering in which major deities and their groups (Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvins) stand encircling and honoring Kumāra Kārtikeya, portraying him as a central, commanding presence supported by the entire celestial host.
