वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse presents conception not as a merely personal act but as one governed by dharma when performed under niyoga—an authorized injunction—here explicitly linked to Brahmā’s command, emphasizing legitimacy, duty, and cosmic sanction.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that a powerful lord, acting on Brahmā’s directive, approaches Gaḍbhajā and causes her to conceive a divine, sun-bright embryo—signaling the advent of an extraordinary figure or destiny-bearing birth.
