कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
अपि मामिति सर्वेषां तेषामासीन्मनोगतम् । उन्हें आते देख एक ही समय भगवान् शंकर, गिरिराजनन्दिनी उमा, गंगा और अग्निदेवके मनमें यह संकल्प उठा कि देखें यह बालक पिता-माताका गौरव प्रदान करनेके लिये पहले किसके पास जाता है? क्या यह मेरे पास आयेगा? यह प्रश्न उन सबके मनमें उठा ।। तेषामेतमभिप्रायं चतुर्णामुपलक्ष्य सः
api mām iti sarveṣāṁ teṣām āsīn manogataṁ | teṣām etam abhiprāyaṁ caturṇām upalakṣya saḥ ||
അവരൊക്കെയും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഒരേ ചിന്തയായിരുന്നു—“അവൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു വരുമോ?” ആ നാലുപേരുടെയും ഈ അഭിപ്രായം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ് അവൻ അവരുടെ പറയാത്ത ചോദ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കി.
