अध्याय ४ — दुर्योधनस्य असंधि-निश्चयः

Duryodhana’s Refusal of Reconciliation

दुर्योधन निबोधेदं यत्‌ त्वां वक्ष्यामि कौरव । श्रुत्वा कुरु महाराज यदि ते रोचतेडनघ,“कुरुवंशी महाराज दुर्योधन! मैं इस समय तुमसे जो कुछ कहता हूँ, उसे ध्यान देकर सुनो। अनघ! मेरी बात सुनकर यदि तुम्हें रुचे तो उसके अनुसार कार्य करो

duryodhana nibodhedaṁ yat tvāṁ vakṣyāmi kaurava | śrutvā kuru mahārāja yadi te rocate 'nagha ||

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ കൗരവ ദുര്യോധനാ, ഞാൻ പറയാൻ പോകുന്നതു ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ ഗ്രഹിക്കൂ. മഹാരാജാ, കേട്ട ശേഷം നിനക്കു രുചിച്ചാൽ, ഹേ നിർദോഷനേ, അതനുസരിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തിക്കൂ.
