अध्याय ४ — दुर्योधनस्य असंधि-निश्चयः
Duryodhana’s Refusal of Reconciliation
युष्माभिस्तानि चीर्णानि यान्यसाधूनि साधुषु । अकारणकृतान्येव तेषां व: फलमागतम्,'पाण्डव साधुपुरुष हैं तो भी तुमलोगोंने अकारण ही उनके साथ जो बहुत-से अनुचित बर्ताव किये हैं, उन्हींका यह फल तुम्हें मिला है
yuṣmābhis tāni cīrṇāni yāny asādhūni sādhuṣu | akāraṇakṛtāny eva teṣāṃ vaḥ phalam āgatam ||
പാണ്ഡവർ സദ്ജനന്മാരാണ്; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ കാരണമില്ലാതെ അവരോടു ചെയ്ത അന്യായ പ്രവർത്തികളുടെ ഫലമാണ് ഇത്—ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളിലേക്കെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
