जगाम भगवान् स्थानमनुरूपमिवात्मन: । उन पुत्रोंकी त्याग-तपस्यासे संतुष्ट रहते हुए वे पूजनीय महात्मा गौतम दीर्घकालके पश्चात् अपने अनुरूप स्थान (स्वर्गलोक)-में चले गये

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ത്യാഗവും തപസ്സും കണ്ടു സന്തുഷ്ടനായ പൂജ്യ മഹാത്മാവ് ഗൗതമൻ ദീർഘകാലത്തിനു ശേഷം തനിക്കനുയോജ്യമായ സ്ഥാനമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
