അപ്പോൾ അതേ നിമിഷം ഗദ കൈവശമുള്ള ദുര്യോധനനും വൃകോദരനും നിർണായക ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലിനായി സജ്ജരായി നിലകൊണ്ടു—സഹോദരഘാതക യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ധർമ്മവിച്ഛേദത്തിനിടയിൽ, വ്യക്തിപരമായ വീര്യവും ദൃഢനിശ്ചയവും കഠിനമായി പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന പരാകാഷ്ഠയായി അത് തെളിഞ്ഞു।
