शल्यमपद्योद्धरिष्यामि तव पाण्डव हृच्छयम् | निहत्य गदया पापमद्य राजन् सुखी भव,'पाण्डुनन्दन! नरेश! आज मैं गदाद्वारा पापी दुर्योधनका वध करके आपके हृदयका काँटा निकाल दूँगा; अत: आप सुखी होइये
śalyam apadyoddhariṣyāmi tava pāṇḍava hṛcchayam | nihatya gadayā pāpam adya rājan sukhī bhava |
പാണ്ഡവാ! രാജാവേ! ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ ഗദയാൽ പാപിയായ ദുര്യോധനനെ വധിച്ച് നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കുടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ശല്യം പിഴുതെറിയും; അതിനാൽ നീ സമാധാനത്തോടെ സുഖിക്കു।
