Resolve for the Mace Duel
तत् त्वमादाय युध्यस्व प्रेक्षकास्ते वयं स्थिता: । तुम रणभूमिमें अकेले ही एक-एकके साथ भिड़कर हम सब लोगोंसे युद्ध करना चाहते हो तो ऐसा ही सही। जो हथियार तुम्हें पसंद हो, उसीको लेकर हमलोगोंमेंसे एक-एकके साथ युद्ध करो। हम सब लोग दर्शक बनकर खड़े रहेंगे
tat tvam ādāya yudhyasva prekṣakās te vayaṁ sthitāḥ |
യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“അപ്പോൾ നിനക്കിഷ്ടമുള്ള ആയുധം എടുത്ത് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്ക; ഞങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ പ്രേക്ഷകരായി നിൽക്കും. നീ रणഭൂമിയിൽ ഞങ്ങളൊക്കെയുമായ്—ഒരൊരുത്തനോടു വേറേവേറെ—പോരാടാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാകട്ടെ. നിനക്കിഷ്ടമായ ആയുധം എടുത്ത് ഞങ്ങളിൽ ഒരൊരുത്തനോടും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്ക; ഞങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികളായി ഇവിടെ തന്നെ നിലകൊള്ളാം.”
