धृतराष्ट्रात्मजं तस्मै भीमसेनाय धीमते । शयानं सलिले सर्वे कथयामो धनुर्भते,“बुद्धिमान् धनुर्थर भीमसेनको हम सब यह बता दें कि धृतराष्ट्रका पुत्र दुर्योधन जलमें सो रहा है
dhṛtarāṣṭrātmajaṃ tasmai bhīmasenāya dhīmate | śayānaṃ salile sarve kathayāmo dhanurbhṛte ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“നാം എല്ലാവരും ആ ബുദ്ധിമാനായ ധനുർധരൻ ഭീമസേനനോട് പറയും—ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രന്റെ പുത്രൻ ദുര്യോധനൻ ജലത്തിൽ ശയിച്ച് ഒളിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights a wartime ethical tension: concealment and evasion by a defeated leader versus the duty of warriors to disclose the enemy’s whereabouts and bring the conflict to a decisive, accountable end.
Sañjaya reports that the group intends to inform Bhīma that Duryodhana, Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son, is lying concealed in the water—setting up Bhīma’s pursuit and the final confrontation.
