Dvaipāyana-hrade Duryodhanasya Māyā — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharmoktiḥ (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 30)
विश्रम्यैकां निशामद्य भवद्धि: सहितो रणे । प्रतियोत्स्याम्यहं शत्रून् श्वो न मे5स्त्यत्र संशय:,आज एक रात विश्राम करके कल सबेरे रणभूमिमें आप लोगोंके साथ रहकर मैं शत्रुओंके साथ युद्ध करूँगा, इसमें संशय नहीं है
viśramyaikāṃ niśām adya bhavadbhiḥ sahito raṇe | pratiyotsyāmy ahaṃ śatrūn śvo na me 'sty atra saṃśayaḥ ||
ഇന്ന് ഈ ഒരു രാത്രി വിശ്രമിച്ച്, നാളെ പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ നിങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ശത്രുക്കളോട് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യും—ഇതിൽ എനിക്ക് സംശയമില്ല.
