Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana

नोत्सहेताप्यतिक्रान्तुं वेलामिव महार्णव: । “जैसे महासागर तटको नहीं लाँध सकता, उसी प्रकार कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन समरांगणमें युद्ध करते हुए मुझ दुर्योधनको लाँधघकर आगे जानेकी हिम्मत नहीं कर सकते ।। अद्यार्जुनं सगोविन्दं मानिनं च वृकोदरम्‌

na utsahetā api atikrāntuṁ velām iva mahārṇavaḥ |

മഹാസമുദ്രം തന്റെ തീരം കടക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ, കുന്തീപുത്രൻ അർജുനൻ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ പോരാടുകയായാലും എന്നെ—ദുര്യോധനനെ—കടന്ന് മുന്നോട്ട് പോകാൻ ധൈര്യം കാണിക്കുകയില്ല।
