अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
कुण्जरै: स्यन्दना भग्ना: सादिनश्न महारथै:
kuñjaraiḥ syandanā bhagnāḥ sādināś ca mahārathaiḥ
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ആ ഭീകര സംഘർഷത്തിൽ ആനകൾ രഥങ്ങളെ തകർത്തു; മഹാരഥന്മാർ കുതിരസേനയെ വെട്ടിവീഴ്ത്തി. യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ആ പ്രചണ്ഡതയിൽ അഭിമാനവും വീര്യവും—ഇരണ്ടും അതിക്രമഹിംസയുടെ മുന്നിൽ ചതഞ്ഞുപോയി.
