Unrestrained Battle Description and Śakuni’s Rear Assault
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शल्यपर्वमें सात्यकि और कृतवर्गाका युद्धविषयक इकक््कीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
nānābāṇair mahārāja pramuktaiḥ sarvatodiśam | nājñāyanta raṇe vīrā na diśaḥ pradiśaḥ kutaḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹാരാജാവേ! നാനാവിധമായ അനവധി അമ്പുകൾ എല്ലാദിക്കുകളിലേക്കും പ്രയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ യുദ്ധഭൂമി അത്യന്തം കലുഷിതമായി; വീരന്മാരെ തിരിച്ചറിയാനായില്ല, ദിക്കുകളും തിരിച്ചറിയാനായില്ല—ഇടദിക്കുകളുടെ കാര്യം പിന്നെ പറയേണ്ടതില്ല. ആ കലാപസമരത്തിൽ ക്രുദ്ധനായ ദ്രോണപുത്രൻ അശ്വത്ഥാമൻ സർവദിക്കുകളിലേക്കുള്ള അമ്പുവർഷംകൊണ്ട് ഭീമസേനന്റെ മുന്നേറ്റം തടഞ്ഞു.
