अवरुह्य रथोपस्थात् त्वरमाणो<भिदुद्रुवे । सहस्रचन्द्रविमलं गृहीत्वा चर्म संयुगे
avaruhya rathopasthāt tvaramāṇo 'bhidudruve | sahasracandravimalaṃ gṛhītvā carma saṃyuge ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു: അവൻ രഥപീഠത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ചാടിയിറങ്ങി അതിവേഗം ഓടിപ്പോയി; യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ കലഹത്തിനിടയിൽ ആയിരം ചന്ദ്രന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ദീപ്തമായ, മാലിന്യമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു പരിച അവൻ പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു।
