Aśvatthāmā’s Buddhi-Doctrine and Nocturnal Incursion Resolve (अश्वत्थाम्नः बुद्धिविचारः सौप्तिकसंकल्पश्च)
अद्याहं सर्वपञ्चालान् निहत्य च निकृत्य च । अर्दयिष्यामि संदहृष्टो रणे पाण्डुसुतांस्तथा
sañjaya uvāca | adyāhaṁ sarvapañcālān nihatyā ca nikṛtya ca | ardayiṣyāmi saṁdahṛṣṭo raṇe pāṇḍusutāṁs tathā ||
ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ എല്ലാ പാഞ്ചാലരെയും വധിച്ച് അവരുടെ അവയവങ്ങൾ ഛിന്നഭിന്നമാക്കി, ആഹ്ലാദോന്മത്തനായി പാണ്ഡുവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും കൂടി തകർത്തുകളയും।
