Kṛpa’s Counsel on Destiny and Human Effort
तत्रास्य बुद्धिर्विनयस्तत्र श्रेयश्व॒ पश्यति । जब मनुष्य मोहके वशीभूत हो हिताहितका निर्णय करनेमें असमर्थ हो जाय
tatrāsya buddhir vinayas tatra śreyaś ca paśyati |
അവിടെ—വിശ്വസ്ത ഹിതൈഷികളുടെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ—മനുഷ്യന് ബുദ്ധിയും വിനയവും ലഭിക്കുന്നു; അവിടെയേ അവൻ തന്റെ ശ്രേയസ്സിനെ കാണുന്നു. മോഹം പിടിച്ചടക്കി ഹിതാഹിതം വിധിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ വരുമ്പോൾ, അവൻ സുഹൃത്തുകളുടെ ഉപദേശം തേടണം; അവരുടെ വഴിയിലൂടെയാണ് വിവേകം തിരിച്ചുകിട്ടുന്നതും സ്വഹിതത്തിന്റെ പാത തെളിയുന്നതും.
