परिक्षिन्नाम नृपतिर्मिषतस्ते सुदुर्मते । दुर्मते! इसके बाद तेरे देखते-देखते महाबाहु कुरुराज परीक्षित् ही इस भूमण्डलका सम्राट् होगा
parikṣinnāma nṛpatir miṣatas te sudurmate | durmate! iṣke bāda tere dekhate-dekhate mahābāhu kururāja parīkṣit hi asya bhūmaṇḍalasya samrāṭ bhaviṣyati ||
ഹേ അതിദുർമതേ! ഇനി നിന്റെ കണ്ണുമുന്നിൽ തന്നേ ‘പരീക്ഷിത്’ എന്നൊരു നൃപതി ഉദിക്കും; ആ മഹാബാഹുവായ കുരുരാജൻ പരീക്ഷിതാണ് ഈ സമസ്ത ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തിന്റെ സാമ്രാട്ടാകുക।
