अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
कृपाच्छारद्वताच्छूर: सर्वास्त्राण्युपपत्स्यते । परीक्षित् तो दीर्घ आयु प्राप्त करके ब्रह्मचर्यपालन एवं वेदाध्ययनका व्रत धारण करेगा और वह शूरवीर बालक शरद्वानके पुत्र कृपाचार्यसे ही सम्पूर्ण अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंका ज्ञान प्राप्त करेगा || १३ $ ।।
vaishampāyana uvāca |
kr̥pāc chāradvatāc chūraḥ sarvāstrāṇy upapatsyate |
viditvā paramāstrāṇi kṣatradharmavrate sthitaḥ ||
ആ ശൂര ബാലൻ ശരദ്വതപുത്രനായ കൃപാചാര്യനിൽ നിന്ന് സർവ്വ അസ്ത്രശസ്ത്രവിദ്യയും അഭ്യസിക്കും. പരമാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞ് ക്ഷത്രധർമ്മവ്രതത്തിൽ ദൃഢനായി നിലകൊള്ളും.
