Rājasūyābhiṣeka-darśana: Duryodhana’s Observation of the Consecration
तां दृष्टवा पाण्डुपुत्रस्य श्रियं परमिकामहम् । शान्तिं न परिगच्छामि दहा[मानेन चेतसा,पाण्डुपुत्र युधिष्ठिरकी उस उत्कृष्ट लक्ष्मीको देखकर मेरे हृदयमें जलन पैदा हो गयी है; अतः मुझे क्षणभर भी शान्ति नहीं मिलती
tāṃ dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍuputrasya śriyaṃ paramikām aham | śāntiṃ na parigacchāmi dahyamānena cetasā ||
പാണ്ഡുപുത്രൻ യുധിഷ്ഠിരന്റെ ആ പരമോന്നതമായ ശ്രീസമൃദ്ധി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ എന്റെ ചിത്തം ദഹിക്കുന്നു; അതിനാൽ എനിക്ക് ക്ഷണമാത്രവും ശാന്തി ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല.
