धर्म्यर्धनागमैस्तस्य ववृधे निचयो महान् । कर्तु यस्य न शक््येत क्षयो वर्षशतैरपि
dharmyārthanāgamais tasya vavṛdhe nicayo mahān | kartu yasya na śakyeta kṣayo varṣaśatair api ||
ധർമ്മ്യവും നിയമസമ്മതവുമായ മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽ ലഭിച്ച ധനത്താൽ അവന്റെ മഹാനിധി അതിവിപുലമായി വർദ്ധിച്ചു; നൂറുകണക്കിന് വർഷങ്ങൾ ഉദാരമായി ചെലവഴിച്ചാലും അതിനെ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കാനാവില്ലായിരുന്നു।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Wealth gained through dharmic, lawful means is portrayed as enduring and socially beneficial; it supports sustained giving and stability, unlike wealth obtained through adharma which is morally and practically precarious.
