Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)

ततः स राजा संहृष्ट: सर्व तदुपलभ्य च । अपृच्छद्धेमगर्भाभां राक्षसीं तामराक्षसीम्‌,यह सब देख-सुनकर राजाके हर्षकी सीमा न रही। उन्होंने सुवर्णकी-सी कान्तिवाली उस राक्षसीसे, जो स्वरूप-से राक्षसी नहीं जान पड़ती थी, इस प्रकार पूछा

tataḥ sa rājā saṁhṛṣṭaḥ sarva tad upalabhya ca | apṛcchad hemagarbhābhāṁ rākṣasīṁ tām arākṣasīm ||

ഇതെല്ലാം കണ്ടും കേട്ടും രാജാവ് ആനന്ദപരവശനായി. സംഭവിച്ചതെല്ലാം ഗ്രഹിച്ച്, സ്വർണ്ണസമ കാന്തിയുള്ള ആ രാക്ഷസിയോട്—രൂപത്തിൽ രാക്ഷസിയെന്നു തോന്നാത്തവളോട്—ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചു.
