ऋग्वेद: सामवेदश्न यजुर्वेदश्च॒ पाण्डव । अथर्ववेदश्न तथा सर्वशास्त्राणि चैव ह,पाण्डुनन्दन! ऋग्वेद, सामवेद, यजुर्वेद, अथर्ववेद तथा सम्पूर्ण शास्त्र,
ṛgvedaḥ sāmavedaś ca yajurvedaś ca pāṇḍava | atharvavedaś ca tathā sarvaśāstrāṇi caiva ha ||
ഹേ പാണ്ഡവാ! ഋഗ്വേദം, സാമവേദം, യജുര്വേദം, അതര്വ്വവേദം—അതുപോലെ എല്ലാ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളും—(ഇവിടെ) സമാഹിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു/പ്രതിഷ്ഠിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
नारद उवाच
The verse underscores the completeness and authority of Vedic and śāstric knowledge as a unified foundation for dharma—right judgment and conduct are grounded in the totality of revealed and taught traditions.
Nārada addresses a Pāṇḍava and enumerates the four Vedas, adding that all śāstras are included—framing the discussion in terms of comprehensive sacred learning and its relevance to righteous life and governance.
