नारद उवाच
The verse emphasizes completeness and propriety in sacred duty: honoring deities (Maruts, Vasus), divine functionaries (Viśvakarmā), and ancestors (Pitṛs), together with the prescribed offerings. Ethically, it points to dharma as maintaining right relationship with all levels of the cosmos—gods, ancestors, and the ritual means that connect them.
Nārada is listing revered divine and ancestral groups, indicating their presence or their due inclusion in a ritual/sacred context. The enumeration functions as a formal acknowledgment that the occasion involves (or should acknowledge) the wider divine-ancestral assembly and the oblations offered.
