Mahāprasthānika-parva Adhyāya 2: The Northward March, Sight of Himavat and Meru, and the Sequential Falls

वैशम्पायन उवाच इत्युक्त्वा प्रस्थितो राजा भीमो5थ निपपात ह । पतितश्चाब्रवीद्‌ भीमो धर्मराजं युधिष्ठिरम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्‌! यों कहकर राजा युधिष्ठिर आगे बढ़ गये। इतनेहीमें भीमसेन भी गिर पड़े। गिरनेके साथ ही भीमने धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरको पुकारकर पूछा

vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity uktvā prasthito rājā bhīmo 'tha nipapāta ha | patitaś cābravīd bhīmo dharmarājaṃ yudhiṣṭhiram |

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് രാജാവ് യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ മുന്നോട്ട് നടന്നു. അതിനിടയിൽ ഭീമസേനനും ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണു. വീണ ഉടൻ ഭീമൻ ധർമ്മരാജൻ യുധിഷ്ഠിരനെ വിളിച്ച് കാരണം ചോദിച്ചു।
