asakṛc cāpi medhāvī kṛṣṇadvaipāyano mama | kathām etāṃ mahābhāga kathayāmāsa tattvavit ||
ഹേ മഹാഭാഗ! പരമബുദ്ധിമാനും തത്ത്വജ്ഞനുമായ മഹർഷി ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണദ്വൈപായനൻ (വ്യാസൻ) പോലും ഇതേ വൃത്താന്തം എനിക്ക് പലവട്ടം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്.
संयज उवाच
That the forthcoming point is grounded in authoritative, repeatedly affirmed instruction: Vyāsa, a tattvavit (knower of truth), has told this same account many times, so it should be received as a reliable ethical and narrative truth rather than mere hearsay.
Saṃjaya addresses a noble listener and cites Vyāsa as his source, stating that Vyāsa has repeatedly narrated this very account to him—preparing the listener to accept the next statement as weighty and well-attested.
