अशेत निशित: पत्री समरेष्वरिसूदन: । भीष्मद्रोणमुखान्‌ वीरान्‌ योडवमन्ये महारथान्‌

Transliteration

aśeta niśitaḥ patrī samareṣv arisūdanaḥ | bhīṣmadroṇamukhān vīrān yodham anye mahārathān ||

Translation

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ആ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ചിറകുകളുള്ള ശത്രുസംഹാരക അമ്പ് അവിടെ കിടന്നു; അത് ഭീഷ്മ-ദ്രോണപ്രമുഖ വീരന്മാരെയും മറ്റു മഹാരഥന്മാരെയും കൂടി വീഴ്ത്തിയിരുന്നു।
