ततोडन््तरिक्षे साक्षेपा विवादा भरतर्षभ । मिथो भेदाश्न भूतानामासन् कर्णार्जुनान्तरे
tad anantaram antarikṣe sākṣepā vivādā bharatarṣabha | mitho bhedāś ca bhūtānām āsan karṇārjunāntare ||
അതിനുശേഷം, ഹേ ഭാരതശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സകല ഭൂതങ്ങളിലുമെല്ലാം കർണ്ണനും അർജുനനും ജയപരാജയങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് പരസ്പരം ആക്ഷേപം നിറഞ്ഞ വാദങ്ങളും ഭിന്നാഭിപ്രായങ്ങളും ഉദിച്ചു.
