स शक्रचापप्रतिमेन धन््वना भूशायतेनाधिरथि: शरान् सृजन् | बभौ रणे दीप्तमरीचिमण्डलो यथांशुमाली परिवेषवांस्तथा
sa śakracāpapratimena dhanvanā bhūśāyatenādhirathiḥ śarān sṛjan | babhau raṇe dīptamarīcimaṇḍalo yathāṃśumālī pariveṣavāṃs tathā ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇന്ദ്രധനുസ്സിനോട് സാമ്യമുള്ള മഹാധനുസ്സുകൊണ്ട് അമ്പുവർഷം ചൊരിയുമ്പോൾ, ഭൂമിയിൽ ശയിച്ചിരുന്നിട്ടും അധിരഥപുത്രൻ കർണൻ रणഭൂമിയിൽ ദീപ്തനായി തിളങ്ങി; ദഹിക്കുന്ന കിരണമണ്ഡലവും വലയപ്രഭയും ഉള്ള സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ।
