Educational Q&A

Even amid the violence and uncertainty of battle, righteous confidence is strengthened by loyal companionship; the longing to see a trusted ally symbolizes renewed morale and steadfast commitment to one’s cause.

Sañjaya reports that Bhīma hears a particular sound (implying Arjuna’s presence or signal) and becomes intensely pleased, eager to see Arjuna—indicating coordination and encouragement among the Pandavas during the fighting.
