भीमस्य वाहाग्रयमुदारवेगं समनन्ततो बाणगणैर्निजषघ्नु: । तत: शरानापततो महात्मा चिच्छेद बाणैस्तपनीयपुड्खै:
bhīmasya vāhāgrayam udāravegaṃ samanantato bāṇagaṇair nijaṣaghnur | tataḥ śarān āpatato mahātmā ciccheda bāṇais tapanīya-puṅkhaiḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവർ എല്ലാ വശത്തുനിന്നും അമ്പുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തോടെ ഭീമന്റെ അതിവേഗമുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠ രഥസംഘത്തെ പ്രഹരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അപ്പോൾ മഹാത്മാവായ ഭീമസേനൻ തന്റെ മേൽ പതിയാൻ വന്ന ആ അമ്പുകളെ സ്വർണ്ണപ്പക്ഷങ്ങളുള്ള തന്റെ അമ്പുകളാൽ വെട്ടിമാറ്റി.
