प्राद्रवंस्तुरगास्ते तु शरवेगप्रपीडिता: । ततो<भूजन्निनदो घोरस्तव सैन्यस्य भारत,भारत! इसके बाद बाणोंके वेगसे अत्यन्त पीड़ित हुए उसके घोड़े वहाँसे भाग चले। उस समय वहाँ आपकी सेनामें भयंकर कोलाहल मच गया
prādravan turagās te tu śaravega-prapīḍitāḥ | tato 'bhūjan ninado ghoras tava sainyasya bhārata ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അമ്പുകളുടെ വേഗംകൊണ്ട് അത്യന്തം പീഡിതരായ ആ കുതിരകൾ ഓടിപ്പോയി. അപ്പോൾ, ഓ ഭാരത, നിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിൽ ഭീകരമായ കോലാഹലം ഉയർന്നു।
संजय उवाच
Even in a war framed by kṣatriya-dharma, violence produces immediate moral and practical consequences: fear spreads, discipline breaks, and suffering extends beyond warriors to animals and the wider host. The verse highlights how quickly order collapses when panic takes hold.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that horses, overwhelmed by the force of incoming arrows, bolt from the field. Their flight triggers a terrifying clamour in the Kaurava ranks, indicating confusion and distress in the army.
