युधिष्ठिरस्य धनंजय-प्रति गर्हा
Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya
स राजगृद्धिभी रुद्ध: पाण्डुपाज्चालकेकयै: । नाशकत् तानकिक्रान्तुं मृत्युर्रह्म विदो यथा
sa rājagṛddhibhī ruddhaḥ pāṇḍupāñcālakekayaiḥ | nāśakat tān atikrāntuṁ mṛtyur brahmavido yathā ||
രാജാവിനെ കാക്കാൻ നിലകൊണ്ട പാണ്ഡവരും പാഞ്ചാലരും കേകയരും കർണനെ ചുറ്റി തടഞ്ഞു. ബ്രഹ്മവിദന്മാരെ മരണം കടന്നുപോകാൻ കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ, മഹാവീരനായ കർണനും ആ രക്ഷാവലയത്തെ ഭേദിച്ച് മുന്നേറാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
