अर्जुनस्य द्रोणिप्रतिघातः कर्णोपसर्पणं च
Arjuna Checks Droṇaputra; Karṇa Advances
पितरं तु परीप्सन्त: कर्णपुत्रा: प्रहारिण: । त्वदीयाश्चापरे राजन् वीरा वीरानवारयन्
pitaraṁ tu parīpsantaḥ karṇaputrāḥ prahāriṇaḥ | tvadīyāś cāpare rājan vīrā vīrān avārayan ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! പിതാവിനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കണമെന്നാഗ്രഹിച്ച പ്രഹാരനിപുണരായ കർണ്ണപുത്രന്മാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ സൈന്യത്തിലെ മറ്റു വീരന്മാരും, മുൻപറഞ്ഞ പാണ്ഡവവീരന്മാരെ തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്താൻ തുടങ്ങി।
