वधं प्राप्तौ मन्‍्यते नौ प्रावेश्य शरवेश्मनि । एषो5स्मि हन्मि संकल्पं शिक्षया च बलेन च,“यह अपने बाणोंके घेरेमें डालकर हम दोनोंको मारा गया समझता है। मैं अभी अपनी शिक्षा और बलसे इसके इस मनोरथको नष्ट किये देता हूँ!

Transliteration

vadhaprāptau manyate nau prāveśya śaraveśmani | eṣo 'smi hanmi saṅkalpaṃ śikṣayā ca balena ca ||

Translation

“അമ്പുകളുടെ വളയത്തിനകത്ത് ഞങ്ങളിരുവരെയും കുടുക്കി ഞങ്ങൾ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവെന്ന് അവൻ കരുതുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ട്—എന്റെ ശിക്ഷണവും ബലവും കൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ ഈ നിശ്ചയം ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ തകർക്കും.”
