न द्रोणव्यसनं ककश्िज्जानीते तत्र भारत । दृष्टवा कर्ण महेष्वासं मुखे व्यूहस्य देशितम्
na droṇavyasanaṁ kaścid jānīte tatra bhārata | dṛṣṭvā karṇa-maheṣvāsaṁ mukhe vyūhasya deśitam ||
ഹേ ഭാരത, അവിടെ ദ്രോണനു സംഭവിച്ച ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ ഭാരം ആരും അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; കാരണം മഹാധനുർധരനായ കർണ്ണനെ വ്യൂഹത്തിന്റെ മുൻവശത്ത് നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി അവർ കണ്ടു.
