मतं मतिमतां श्रेष्ठा: सर्वे प्रत्रृत मा चिरम् । एवं गते तु कि कार्य कि च कार्यतरं नूपा:
sañjaya uvāca | mataṃ matimatāṃ śreṣṭhāḥ sarve prabrūta mā ciram | evaṃ gate tu kiṃ kāryaṃ kiṃ ca kāryataraṃ nṛpāḥ |
“ജ്ഞാനികളിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠരായ രാജാക്കന്മാരേ! നിങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ അഭിപ്രായം വേഗം പറയുക; താമസിക്കരുത്. കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഇങ്ങനെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ, നാം എന്ത് ചെയ്യണം? ഏറ്റവും അടിയന്തിരമായ കർത്തവ്യം ഏത്, രാജാക്കന്മാരേ?”
