लब्धलक्ष्यै: परै्ष्टि््यायच्छद्धिश्चिरं तदा । संध्याकालं समासाद्य प्रत्याहारमकारयत्
sañjaya uvāca |
labdhalakṣyaiḥ parāiṣṭyāyacchaddhiś ciraṃ tadā |
saṃdhyākālaṃ samāsādya pratyāhāram akārayat |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ പ്രതിപക്ഷ പാണ്ഡവർ ലക്ഷ്യം കൈവരിച്ച് കൂടുതൽ ഉത്സാഹത്തോടെ പരിശ്രമപൂർവ്വം യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു. ദുര്യോധനൻ തന്റെ ഭുജബലം ആശ്രയിച്ച് ദീർഘകാലം യുദ്ധം തുടരുകയും, സന്ധ്യാകാലം വന്നപ്പോൾ സൈന്യത്തെ പിൻവലിച്ച് ശിബിരത്തിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങാൻ ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
