“तुम दोनों जिस कार्यसे यहाँ आये हो, वह क्या है? मैं उसे सिद्ध कर दूँगा। अपने लिये कल्याणकारी वस्तुको माँगो। मैं तुम दोनोंको सब कुछ दे सकता हूँ ।।
sañjaya uvāca | "yuvābhyāṃ yad iha kāryam āgatau tad kim? ahaṃ tat sādhayiṣyāmi | ātmane kalyāṇakārīṃ vastuṃ yācethām | ahaṃ yuvābhyāṃ sarvaṃ dātuṃ śaknomi" || tataḥ tad vacanaṃ śrutvā pratyutthāya kṛtāñjalī | vāsudevārjunau śarvaṃ tuṣṭuvāte mahāmatī ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവരും ഏതു ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് ഇവിടെ വന്നത്? ആ കാര്യം ഞാൻ സാധിപ്പിച്ചുതരാം. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കല്യാണകരമായതിനെ ചോദിക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുവര്ക്കും എല്ലാം നൽകാൻ ഞാൻ സമർത്ഥനാണ്. ഈ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ, നിന്ദാരഹിതരായ മഹാത്മാക്കളും പരമബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുമായ വാസുദേവൻ (ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ)യും അർജുനനും എഴുന്നേറ്റ് നിന്നു, കരംകൂപ്പി, ദിവ്യസ്തോത്രത്താൽ ഭഗവാൻ ശർവ (ശിവൻ)നെ സ്തുതിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
