निध्नन्नमित्रान्‌ सौभद्र: परमास्त्रै: प्रतापवान्‌ | अदर्शयत तेजस्वी दिक्षु सर्वासु भारत

sañjaya uvāca | nighnann amitrān saubhadraḥ paramāstraiḥ pratāpavān | adarśayat tejasvī dikṣu sarvāsu bhārata bhārata |

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരതാ! പ്രതാപശാലിയായ സൗഭദ്രൻ (അഭിമന്യു) പരമ ദിവ്യാസ്ത്രങ്ങളാൽ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിഹതരാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് തേജസ്സോടെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവന്റെ ദീപ്തരൂപം എല്ലാ ദിക്കുകളിലും ദൃശ്യമായിരുന്നു.
