तस्मिन् हते राजपुत्रे पज्चालानां यशस्करे । हत द्रोणं हत द्रोणमित्यासीज्नि:स्वनो महान्
tasmin hate rājaputre pāñcālānāṃ yaśaskare | hata droṇaṃ hata droṇam ity āsīj niḥsvano mahān ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പാഞ്ചാലരുടെ യശസ്സു വർധിപ്പിച്ച ആ രാജകുമാരൻ ഹതനായപ്പോൾ അവിടെ “ദ്രോണനെ കൊല്ലുക, ദ്രോണനെ കൊല്ലുക” എന്ന മഹാനാദം ഉയർന്നു.
