Educational Q&A

The verse highlights an idealized warrior-leader profile: immense power restrained and directed by nīti (prudent ethical-political judgment). It suggests that battlefield effectiveness is not only physical might but also disciplined intellect and the ability to steady one’s side by granting confidence.

Arjuna addresses the king and announces that he will identify a terrifying, highly capable Kuru champion—described through comparisons to major deities and cosmic forces—who is rallying the Kaurava forces and emboldening them after a critical turn in the battle.
