Mahabharata 7.191.3 — Drona Parva, Adhyaya 191, Shloka 3
धृष्टद्युम्न पहले द्रोणाचार्यके साथ उलझे हुए थे, दुःशासनके बाणोंसे पीड़ित होकर उन्होंने आपके पुत्रके घोड़ोंपर रोषपूर्वक बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी ।।
kṣaṇena sa rathas tasya sadhvajaḥ sahasārathiḥ | nādṛśyata mahārāja pārṣatasya śaraiś citaiḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹാരാജാവേ, ധൃഷ്ടദ്യുമ്നൻ മുമ്പ് ദ്രോണാചാര്യനോടൊപ്പം യുദ്ധത്തിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. ദുഃശാസനന്റെ അമ്പുകളാൽ പീഡിതനായ അവൻ കോപത്തോടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്റെ കുതിരകളുടെ മേൽ അമ്പുവർഷം ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഒരു ക്ഷണത്തിൽ തന്നെ പൃഷതപുത്രന്റെ ഘനമായ ശരവൃഷ്ടിയിൽ പതാകയും സാരഥിയും സഹിതം ദുഃശാസനന്റെ രഥം മൂടപ്പെട്ടു ദൃശ്യമല്ലാതായി.
